The Layered Art Creator

Upload a photo, choose how many layers to split it into, and tune the style. The exploded 3D preview shows how the finished piece will read at a glance — drag your mouse over it to look around. Built mainly for 3D printing: download each layer as its own STL, or grab one combined 3MF with every layer already colour-labelled so your slicer knows what goes where. SVG and PNG cut files are there too if you'd rather laser cut or hand-cut it.

Cleaner settings simplify shapes into smoother, easier-to-cut regions. Detailed settings keep more of the photo's fine edges, but produce fiddlier cut paths.
How thick each individual layer prints — this is the STL/3MF extrusion depth, separate from the assembly gap above (which just spaces the printed plates apart once stacked).
Built mainly for 3D printing — each layer downloads as its own flat, solid STL at the plate thickness above (frame width sets the real-world size; height follows the photo's aspect ratio). Print every layer separately — no supports needed for most photos — then stack them back to front with the assembly gap above, using printed spacers, standoffs, or glued risers. Prefer cutting instead? The same layers export as SVG and PNG too.

3D print notes — the .3mf keeps every layer as its own colour-labelled object (named "Layer 1 of 6 — #hex" and so on) instead of fusing them together — open it in Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer or Cura and use auto-arrange to spread the layers across exactly as many plates as your printer needs.
