InkBytes
// Tools that stick.
A free, browser-based 3D print designer. Build models from scratch, create personalised keyrings and name tags, convert photos to lithophanes, or customise any STL file — all without installing a thing.
PrintForge
A complete browser-based 3D print designer. No install, no account, no data uploaded — just open and create.
PrintForge
Design and export 3D printable STL files directly in your browser. Build from scratch using 19 primitive shapes with full per-object rotation, scale, and position controls, customise keyrings and name tags from templates, convert photos into lithophanes, or import an existing STL and add your own text. Nothing uploaded, nothing stored — ever.
Launch PrintForgeTemplates
Pick a keyring, dog tag, name badge or pendant. Enter your text, adjust dimensions, and download your STL in seconds.
Open Templates →Lithophane
Turn any photo into a 3D panel. Hold it up to a light and the image appears. Upload a JPG or PNG and go.
Open Lithophane →Builder
Build a model from scratch using 19 primitive shapes — boxes, cylinders, gears, arrows, rings, ellipsoids, n-gons and more. Rotate, scale and position each shape, duplicate them, add text, then export as one STL.
Open Builder →Import STL
Upload any STL file. Rotate, scale, mirror, add embossed text, or carve geometry with Boolean Cut. Download the modified result.
Open Import STL →Built by one person,
for everyone.
InkBytes is a solo indie developer project — just me, a text editor, and a very specific obsession with making 3D printing more accessible. PrintForge is built from scratch, runs entirely in the browser, and is completely free to use.
I believe software should be simple, fast, and respectful of your time and privacy. That means no bloat, no dark patterns, no trackers, and no accounts — just a tool that opens, works, and gets out of the way.
